“I was *this close* to using one of the online places to convert some old 8mm film to digital, but I couldn’t stomach the idea of sending it off. Found 621 Productions through a search and decided to take a chance. They’ve been in business 20 years, so I figured that was a good indication of solid work. You don’t hang around through recessions and pandemics if you stink at what you do, or treat people badly.

I’m so glad I used them! The price was in line with what I expected, the turnaround was less time than I was expecting, and everyone I met there was super nice and helpful. I felt very comfortable trusting them with my irreplaceable film. I’m glad to have supported a local business, and I have a pile of slides that I’ll be taking over there soon for conversion.

I’m so happy to have these old memories, especially now that my parents have passed on. The only thing negative I can say is that seeing all of that old footage made me ugly cry, but that river of snot isn’t 621’s fault, LOL.”

As we celebrating 20 years in business we’ll be posting some throw back projects we’ve done over the years!

During the pandemic a lot of things changed for us professionally and personally. We were doing car-side pick-up and drop-off here, working and taking calls from home, zoom-ing, etc. Customers were stuck at home cleaning out their closets and we are so thankful for everyone keeping us going through the uncertainty of it all. Our son and daughter were learning from laptops. High school kids all over the world, who had waited for years to graduate high school, had to graduate virtually or by some other ideas.

We were hired by Uwharrie Charter Academy in Ashboro to film their Class of 2020 graduation in a way that would give a little bit of normalcy. The setup was similar to previous graduations, with the stage and gymnasium decorated.

What we did was bring immediate family, of up to five people, into the gym separately - have the graduate be announced and walk across the stage - then have everyone leave and repeat the process for each graduate. We edited the speeches, clapping and music to make it as "normal" of a graduation as possible.

Most of these kids are now college graduates and hopefully got to experience a real ceremony this time.

📝 A Little Bit of Our History:
• 2005 Jack went from working for another wedding video company to starting his own.
• 2008 Jack and Jenn were married on June 21 - that’s why our name is 6•21 Productions!
• 2012 Our son was born and we wanted more time with him! After years of weddings, we transitioned to other types of video productions and media transfer services.
• 2016 We moved the kids and the business to Apex, NC and haven’t looked back!
• 2024 We opened our second business, Alleyway Bookstore, a used bookstore in downtown Apex right next door.

Jenn & Jack are at the in Austin, TX this weekend! We’ve been to so many good sessions so far about writing, casting and recognizing great people in the industry.

We’re looking forward to the session about physical media and its importance to the industry.

As we start celebrating 20 years in business we’ll be posting some throw back projects we’ve done over the years!

With the Carolina Hurricanes in the playoffs, I’m often reminded of the time I was lucky enough to be in the locker room to film the post game interviews. We were on when he spoke about his dislike for the other team. It was after game 3 of the 2012 playoff run against the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins weren’t doing so well.

I had the perfect angle - better than the other guys in the room. This moment went “viral” and towels were made for game 4 in Philly by the Flyers that said “We don’t like you either!”

After all these years, we look forward to creating new memories and preserving the past with our amazing customers and clients! Thanks for being a part of our family’s journey.
