Did you know that your dog’s nail length can directly affect their health and mobility? 🐾

When nails are short and properly maintained, the paw rests fully on the ground. This allows for a natural step, correct joint alignment, and even weight distribution. As a result, it helps prevent pain, inflammation, and premature joint wear.

On the other hand, long nails push the toes upward, alter posture, and create extra stress on the joints. This can lead to chronic pain, tendon problems, and difficulty walking ⚠️🦴. Over time, this incorrect gait can affect the knees, elbows, and spine.

Regular nail trimming is an essential part of canine health care, animal welfare, and injury prevention. Keeping your dog’s nails at the proper length improves comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life 🐶✨

2025 was an absolute dream come true. 😍

Harvey’s first show was in February at 6 months old.

He finished his CH in style at DCA and went Best of Opposite S*x to Best in Sweeps.

His first Specialty show went off with a bang - going Best In Specialty Show at 10 months old.

Harvey’s GCH was awarded in June and Bronze GCH in October.

With 7 months of limited showing as a special - Harvey has managed to secure his spot in the top 10 breed and top 10 all breed - with multi group placements.

His most prolific accomplishment - in my opinion - is that he also finished 2025 as the # 1 miniature dachshund of all three coats.

2026 we’re raising the bar!! ❤️

Thank you Lori Wilson-Paust for being Harvey’s number one supporter. NONE of these accomplishments would have been possible without you. Thank you for making my dreams come true.

Congratulations to Harvey’s breeder and co-owner Andrea Baldwin. I am so blessed to call you “friend.” Thank you for sharing all of your hard work with me - and allowing me the pleasure of sharing in your success.
