This is a big city, Toronto, can't be denied. Most of the time, my tendencies lead me to gaze upwards, due to its towering heights, changing all the time.
Because of this, I almost stepped on this scavenger. Not your usual bird of prey, but the most common of them.
I felt the guilt, despite not hurting it. The sparrow did not even move a bit in my sudden presence. I guess it is also overwhelmed already because of the nature of this enormous place.
It did not care at all, as long as it was devouring what was left of us mere mortals, the morcels of our existence.
Eat, exist, prey on the human's next squander, dear sparrow. Worry nothing at all.
