Happy Boy Child Day.
Every 16th May is the international Day of the Boy Child. We love you, we celebrate you.
And we want to remind you to be or remain a very gentleman that you are created to be.
Use your strength for care and nurture, NOT beating a woman.
Use your boldness for protection, not aggression and oppression of a woman.
Use your logic for solution, not for belittling and manipulating a woman.
Use your brilliance to be the best in your profession or career, and not to manipulate and cheat others.
Use your focus capacity to create a committed fellowship with God and good relationship with people in your life.
Use your ability to compartmentalize for separation from sin, and not living a double life and cheating on your spouse.
Every man have their ego and tendencies to be a rebel, please don't do it, even when your parents lives are not worthy of emulation, find a mentor for yourself. Because when a boy or young man rejects correction, he is playing with God's wrath. When sons of Eli will not listen to their father's gentle parenting, God was set to destroy them in 2Sam2:25.
The same way Eli trained Samuel, and he listened, and he found favor with God and men.
Unfortunately, Samuel's children were later rejected by the Israelites, and asked Samuel for a King because Samuel's children were corrupt judges 1Sam8:1-3. But do you know what I noticed, Eli's wife was not mentioned, Samuel's wife was not mentioned. But correct me if I am wrong, when people are not significant, especially in the Bible time, they will not be mentioned.
In today's world, people can be famous for negativity on Social Media, but you have to choose to be known for the good as your Father in heaven is , if you are truly a child of God. Remember you are meant to be an ambassador of Christ. All of us must be intentional about being known and remembered for something good.
Okay, I digress. Notice in 1 Sam 2:19, Samuel's mother will visit, do you think she visits and just leave. No, she got him from the Lord with prayer, she obviously sustained him with prayer, counsel and cover. Cloth represent covering, she brings him little robe yearly, reminding him of who he was created to be - a priest. When you know your child's purpose, you constantly remind them who they are, who they are not, and what who they are cannot afford to do.
Mothers, be intentional in training your boys. Fathers do your part in admonishing your boys, never discourage them, lead by example.
Sons listen to instructions, especially Godly ones.
So that you can be be safe, and live your days to the fullest to enjoy the goodness of God in the land of the living.
