🚨 WARNING: “Frankenstein” Rabbits Spotted in the US – Do NOT Touch! 🚨
Wild cottontail rabbits in Fort Collins, Colorado have been seen with tentacle-like growths sprouting from their heads – sparking panic and viral photos online.
🐇 The Cause: It’s a virus called Cottontail Rabbit Papilloma Virus (CRPV) – it creates horn-like tumors around the head, mouth, and eyes.
⚠ Spread: The virus passes between rabbits via mosquitoes, ticks, or direct contact.
🚫 Danger to Humans/Pets: Experts say it cannot infect people or pets – but NEVER touch an infected rabbit.
💔 Impact on Rabbits: Growths can block vision, hearing, or eating – often leading to starvation.
