Meet Young Achiever, Karson Hester! He moved to Auburn in 2016 with his mother, Kala, and his sister, Kallie. During his time attending Auburn City Schools, he served as an Ambassador at both Ogletree Elementary and Drake Middle School. At Auburn High School, he was elected president of the National Honor Society and vice president of Hi-Def, Auburn High School's Mass Media Career Technical Organization. Karson was also a member of the Auburn Choral Company, participating in the Varsity Singers and Vocal Jazz Ensembles. He served as a vocal section leader in varsity and as dance captain during his senior year. He was honored to receive the Outstanding Male Performer Award at a competition in Birmingham earlier this year, as well as the Outstanding Male Performer Award at the 2025 Show-Choir Nationals!

Karson will begin his post-secondary education at Southern Union State Community College, where he has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship and a D1 Life Foundation Scholarship. Congratulations, Karson! Keep reaching for the stars!

Meet Top Dog, Buddy! He is an 18-month-old sheepadoodle and loves living in Moore's Mill with Jerry, Wendi, and Claire Armstrong! He wakes up every morning bright and early, ready to go! He may be going to the park, attending daycare at Spa Del, riding around town with his head out the window, swimming in the lake, or stopping for fro-yo samples. Kids2Kids, Sid, is the son of Sid and Courtney Coleman and the brother of Ann Hollis. He is involved in the PGA Jr. League and Auburn Parks and Rec basketball. One of his favorite pastimes is fishing, as he aspires to be a professional fisherman. Camp Marannook is a favorite summer activity, as well as attending activities at First Baptist Church of Opelika. One interesting thing about Sid is that he is the "V" in his family—five generations of Sids. That is amazing!

“Warm and inviting,” describe the Zimmermans’ feelings about living in Moore's Mill for the past four years. Young families moving into Moore's Mill keep the neighborhood vibrant. The Zimmerman family—Arthur and Chelsea and their two children, Samuel and Hazel—moved here from Florida and, returning to their alma mater (War Eagle), have found their place!
