Coffee Cocktails Food and Music at High Dive HiFi Lounge in Lakeview.

Displayed prominently on the High Dive menu aew some words to the wise: “Music washes away the dust of everyday life.”

The new High Five listening lounge in the Lakeview neighborhood takes that little peearl of wisdom to heart, combinig creative food and drink with creative music and a thoughtfully designed space.

The food is carefully considered yet within a moderate price range for fine dining. And the sound cannot be beat with an architecture and design that enhances the acoustics of the space.

Dia de Los Mu***os at Adios
On Saturday, November 1, Adios . marks an especially meaningful moment. Founders José Medina Camacho and Jesús Méndez, who also own Salud Taqueria, embrace Día de los Mu***os as a way to share their heritage and bring people together. Both draw deeply from their Mexican roots in shaping spaces that celebrate culture and community.
“It is an honor to be in Birmingham and and for the city to receives us as well as it has,” says Camacho.
Adiõs honors Día de los Mu***os year-round with a permanent ofrenda and immersive programming, creating a gathering place where memory and tradition live on. This year is especially significant as the holiday coincides with Adiõs’ third anniversary—a milestone that highlights how José and Jesús have built a bar rooted in heritage while growing into a true community hub.
“We are trying to keep the tradition alive,” Camacho says.

Also on Sunday, November 2, Nightshade is popping up outside Adiõs in celebration of Día de los Mu***os, serving flat-top brisket sandwiches with Nightshade hot sauce from 4 p.m. until sold out.
