All of us at REVV send our condolences and prayers.

Billy Hurt has long been a safety official for the American Sprint Car Series and has worked at countless events and other sanctioning bodies across the Midwest. Billy, a fellow Missourian, was local to myself and lots of other drivers and teams from this area. He worked many nights across the region with the ASCS Warrior Region throughout all my years racing with them, as well as at local speedways in the area.

Billy was, and always will be, one of the nicest guys you could ever come across in the pit area. He never shied away from a conversation and was always selfless, constantly looking out for others.

This tragedy is a loss not only to the racing community, but also to many local communities, along with his family and friends.

Rest easy, Billy. You left us far too soon.

Congratulations! Well deserved!

JR Motorsports CEO Kelley Earnhardt felt honored when her team received the Premier Organization of the Year Award at the 2025 Grand National Bash. The Grand National Bash, also known as the Grand Bash, is an annual award ceremony honoring people and teams at the Xfinity (now NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series) and Truck levels. 🏁👀

The event is the brainchild of NASCAR veteran Tommy Joe Martins, who drives the No. 44 Alpha Prime Racing Chevy Camaro in Asphalt Super Late Model competition on a part-time basis. As per reports, Martins launched the Grand National Bash in November 2025.

It is the only award ceremony that celebrates all levels of stock car racing, and not just NASCAR Cup Series racing. 👀

Sad to hear the passing of former car owner, Bill Davis

Known best for that yellow CAT car that graced the cup scene for years. Bill’s won the 2001 Southern 500 and 2002 Daytona 500 as a car owner in the cup series and won the 2008 Truck series champ championship with Johnny Benson Jr in his truck. Bill had countless legendary drivers race his cars. Ward Burton, Bobby Labonte, Jeff Gordon, Mike Skinner, Kenny Wallace and many more.

Bill wasn’t just an owner but an innovator that made a big impact on this sports prime.
