I hope the holidays have treated you well and you were able to spend time with family and friends.
Help Save AMP, the Home of AMP Action Films!
The bulk of the email today comes with more sobering news. When Covid initially hit and we had to close down temporarily, we racked up quite a sum in back rent. Because of how our business is structured, the government help we received has been a drop in the bucket, and we still owe over $35,000. At this point, our landlord has told us that we need to pay back the majority of the back rent ASAP, or he will have to start looking to lease the building to a business who is more financially secure. AMP has done wonders of good for the community and their families, and unfortunately the owners of AMP have depleted all of our resources keeping it afloat. We are very bad at asking for help, but here we are, on our last leg.
We need your help or AMP could be the next casualty of Covid 19.

Other Ways to Help:
Money is what is needed right now to keep AMP alive, but if you don’t have the ability to contribute financially right now (every little bit helps), here are some other ways you can help.
Share Our Campaign as far and wide as you can. Share to every social media page you have and let them know why you support AMP. Know someone with financial resources that could help? Send them to our campaign, or have them reach out to me at [email protected] . We are considering taking on additional owners as well.
Bring a Friend to the intro classes on Sundays at 12:30pm ($10 only!). Current students can attend free if they bring a friend, and they get to help out as their friend(s) learn for the first time! The next intro is Sunday, Jan 2nd, and people can register using the calendar at amparkour.zenplanner.com.
Get a Group Together to do a birthday, Nerf event, team outing, Boy Scout trip, or other event at AMP. These can be set up by emailing me at [email protected].
Offer to Volunteer at AMP. We have lots of little tasks that we need help with. If you’re already here while classes go on, feel encouraged to reach out. From data entry to small cleaning/organizing, to helping coach, to social media, to an infinite list of other things, we could always use a helping hand, even if it's for 10 minutes once a week.
Become a Team Member by bringing your skills to AMP. Teach a fitness class and need space? Massage therapist looking for a new location? Maybe you have another skill that would benefit our community. We have reasonable splits and lots of different spaces available.
Thank you all for being part of our amazing team and family. We will obviously not go down without a fight (though we don’t consider this a fight with our landlord, but rather with our circumstances) but we do need your help!
