Walmart led a trend of American companies who chose to rollback DEI policies in late 2024. This rollback of policy trend has generated discussions centered on American society’s current direction. I directly address the desire to restore and use the negative stereotypical representation of “the Mammy” archetype being a deliberate effort intending on perpetuating the idea and myth of Black Inferiority. *
