Fun story. While my husband was deployed, I was obsessed with peppermint tea. Especially one that I got in Salem. He came home and 2 weeks later, I got pregnant! Now we have always struggled with fertility. And here I am going over herbal recipes to stock on this winter and I see one of Peppermint’s magical properties is fertility….. I thought it was a cackle!

Sansa and I are taking this early fall morning to take a small break from the rush of the mundane.
A sweater gifted to me from a dear friend, my magical caffeine potion, my pumpkin spice bagel and journaling with my shadow… October for me is a moment where I shuffle through my 365 day journey. What shadows did I integrate,
what goals did I accomplish,
what goals did I not and can I see them with compassion and try again,
what new magic did I learn or
one that I want to learn?
What visions do I have for the next year?
What magic/shadow will I pull from?
What wisdom am i taking with me next year?

A moment to reflect, stop and converse with myself because this moment will define me. This is magic. The magic of your own resilience, quiet accountability and self. Happy October!

An important reminder during a troubling time. Your needs, physical health and emotional wellbeing are vital to your magic and is the most imperative for you to survive and flourish. Sometimes it’s hard to nurture yourself when the world is spinning like a spell gone wild. It’s not selfish to take time for yourself, it’s substantiating yourself. It’s keeping yourself in balance. Every emotion is a check engine light on a need being ignored. You are important.
