Mt. Lebanon Historical Society’s Flag Raising Ceremony was held on July 4th at the Stagecoach Trail Museum. Six veterans were honored: Philip Towns (Air Force), Charles Butler (Air Force),Wayne Carter (Air Force), Wally Reed (Army), Lestar Martin (Army), and Jack Land (Army). Donna Sutton, Regent of Dorcheat-Bistineau Chapter DAR, presented each veteran with a lapel pin and a certificate from the chapter, and presented the historical society with a certificate of appreciation....

The Bienville Clerk of Court has issued guidance related to the coming Friday, July 11, Grand Jury service. Grand Jury service does not get cancelled and only takes about 45 minutes to complete the selection. Check the following link to see if summons that were issued: If anyone has already been excused by the Judge, they do NOT have to follow up. The link above is a complete list of everyone drawn. Summons were issued 3 weeks ago to the address of voter registrations.

If any veterans are interested in riding on the Veteran float, please contact Alex Byrd at 318-379-9133 OR Michelle Goben at 318-514-8520.
