When we talk Huge & Important People in this Music he rates among the Highest by my understanding. WOW all that can be said about this Dancehall PIONEER is WOW. Here is an unpublished photo of the legendary late and very very Great Original and I Mean ORIGINAL Rubadub Dancehall Sound System singer Madoo from Stereophonic Sound fame in the 70's. We were Beyond Blessed with the opportunity to feature the man live n direct on the sound back in the early 2000s a few times and I must say he sounded better than ever, really and TRULY. Not to be confused with his younger brother Hugh Hugh Madoo (UU Madoo) who has a very similar style and voice and is famous for among other things working with Killamanjaro sound back in the day. The story of these 2 legendary dancehall brothers is already out there so if you don't know, then get to know! I met original Madoo at a dance unexpectedly one night and then lost his phone number. Back then it wasnt so easy to link up and it took some searching through the reggae community to get his number again only to find out the number i found was actually for UU Madoo and I didn't even know they were 2 different people at the time! Fortunately I was educated and brought up to speed on this important history. This photo was taken while we were setting up for a session back almost 20 years ago now. I can only say that I learned a few very great lessons from this man, had a number of epic laughs and enjoyed some of the best musical vibrations one can imagine together. We truly enjoyed the same music and it was such an incredible joy to hold a vibes together in that time.
