HUDSPETH REGIONAL CENTER WILL ACCEPT APPLICATIONS until 4:30p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2026, for the purpose of hiring a caring physician to provide on-call medical coverage for patients and residents at Hudspeth Regional Center. Call coverage hours are typically from 4 pm until 8 am on weekdays and 8 am to 8 am (24 hrs) on weekends and holidays. The contractor would need to be available by phone within 10 minutes during these times and have the capability to visit the campus to see a patient as needed. Minimum qualifications: Doctor of Medicine Degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from an accredited medical school; successful completion of a family medicine or internal medicine residency program; board certification in family medicine or internal medicine, a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Mississippi; experience in caring for people with IDD in a residential setting with severe and profound levels of disability preferred; meet all requirements for appointment and privileges for the HRC Medical Staff. Contract will be for a period of one year with the rate of $125.00 per hour worked and $100.00 per night of on call service. These services include but are not limited to performing all necessary evaluations and reports, be on stand-by for consult to any Hudspeth Regional Center staff needing support in the areas of speech and hearing. Qualifications: A Master’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university in Speech Pathology and/or Audiology. Must possess a valid Mississippi AA teaching certificate as required by the MS Department of Education. Contracts will be for a period of one year with the rate of $53.00 per hour.
