I found some old VHS tapes with live TV recordings from the 90's and 00's. Currently uploading those to the YouTube channel (as fast as it will let me). Tomorrow I'll be uploading commercials from the holiday season dating back to 1994 or 1995. Go subscribe to the YouTube channel to check it out!

No one talks about old notebooks that were set on fire because you thought you wouldn't need them anymore—until, ten years later, you wish you could take them back, grab a suitcase, and store them away until you're old enough to flip through the pages again and smile over them like a kid who knows better. No one talks about old toys that bring nostalgia—memories of the times when you knew so little and how it didn’t matter. No one talks about old photographs—the smiles of childhood best friends, the innocent faces that hold immaculate joy and freedom. Hands that know nothing but how to hold each other's wrists as you run toward a newly discovered playground. An old dog’s picture, an old dog’s collar, what seemed like the best New Year of all time. That picture where you weren’t wearing glasses yet, where you were skinny-dipping with your female and male cousins because none of you knew what it would be like after twenty. Your grandmother’s picture. Your grandfather’s picture—when he was swimming in the ocean, when his legs still worked, when he was more than just a gravestone.

I live for it now. I live for who I was before the world made me pay the price of adolescence. And then I realize how small my time is here on Earth. That every day, I lose people. I lose memories. No one talks about the past, thinking it's now unnecessary—but don’t you think we should hold onto it? To remember it. To stitch it onto our foreheads and look at it every day. To look at it and say, “I was here.”
