📣 Have your say on Laurens County’s future! The Citizens on Land Use & Zoning Task Force is hosting two public meetings:

Thursday, July 24 at 6 PM – Hillcrest Complex East (105 Bolt Dr, Laurens) – Includes a presentation on the County Comprehensive Plan by Blake Sanders, zoning discussion, and public comment.
Tuesday, July 29 at 6 PM – Waterloo Elementary (10457 US‑221 S, Waterloo) – Focus on the Task Force’s mission, guest speakers, and public input.
These meetings are open to all—come share your ideas on land use, growth, and zoning policies shaping our county.

🇺🇸 Clinton Honors a Hero 🇺🇸

Last Friday, the Clinton community joined countless others across the Upstate to honor and welcome home fallen WWII hero, T. Sgt. Clarence E. Gibbs. From GSP to Clinton, people lined the roads with flags and hands over hearts as this American hero was brought home at last — 81 years after he was declared missing in action.

Thank you to everyone who showed up to pay tribute and to remind us all of the enduring sacrifice made by Gibbs and so many others.

UPDATE PLEASE SHARE - Fallen Hero Es**rt for Technical Sergeant Clarence E. Gibbs

The Fallen Hero Es**rt for Technical Sergeant Clarence E. Gibbs has departed from GSP and is now en route to Gray Funeral Home in Clinton.

The es**rt will travel via I-85 to I-385, exiting at Exit 52 and proceeding through downtown Clinton before turning onto Carolina Avenue to arrive at Gray Funeral Home.

The community is invited to honor this hero’s final journey home by lining up along the route in a safe location to wave flags, salute, or simply stand in solemn respect as the procession passes.

Let us show our gratitude for his service and sacrifice.
