It turns out that our brains react to time quicker than digital samples. So the higher sample rates sound better because they are recording more continuous "time" and not because of the higher frequency content. Vinyl and other analog captures non-stop time so that's a clue as to why people prefer it even though the frequency response can be flawed. I'm looking forward to seeing how the 2 worlds connect in the future. For now, 96k sample rates and higher are the best for digital (which we've been capable of since the 90's) It's nice that consumers are finally catching on. ~ Roland Alvarez
