In this article, we will outline the basics of creating a social media marketing plan, starting with creating a social media profile and running ads. We will also discuss how businesses can create websites and blogs to showcase their products and services. By following these simple tips, local businesses can start seeing results from their digital advertising efforts!

What is Social Media Marketing

Social Media Marketing is the process of using any number of online platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram to interact and build relationships with potential and current customers. It can be used to create brand awareness, generate leads, and sell products or services. Social media marketing is a great way for local businesses to reach new customers and grow their businesses.

Create a Social Media Profile
The first step in creating a social media marketing plan is to create a social media profile for your business. This profile should include your company’s logo, tagline, and website URL. You should also populate it with engaging content, such as blog posts, images, and videos. Be sure to update your profile regularly with fresh content to keep customers engaged.

Run Ads on Social Media
Another great way to promote your business on social media is by running ads. You can target specific demographics based on your products or services. For example, if you own a pet store, you could target pet owners in your local area. Facebook and LinkedIn both offer ad services that allow you to target specific audiences.

Create a Website or Blog
A great way to showcase your products or services is by creating a website or blog. This will give customers a more in-depth look at what you have to offer. You can include photos, product descriptions, and pricing information. You can also use your website or blog to run ads targeting potential customers in your local area.

Why Use Social Media Marketing
There are many reasons why businesses should use social media marketing. First, social media platforms provide a great way to connect with customers and prospects. Businesses can use social media to build relationships with customers and create loyalty. Additionally, social media platforms are a great way to get information about your company and products. You can use social media to share news, updates, and promotions with customers and followers. Finally, social media is a great way to drive traffic to your website or blog. By using social media marketing effectively, you can improve your visibility and reach new customers.

Creating a social media marketing plan is the first step to success. To create a plan, start by determining which social media platforms you want to use. Then, decide what kind of content you want to share on each platform. Will you share news updates, promotional offers, or informative blog posts? Once you know what kind of content you want to share, you can create a posting schedule. Be sure to post regularly and consistently to keep your followers engaged.
Finally, don’t forget to measure your results so you can adjust your strategy as needed.

By following these tips, you can create a social media marketing plan that will help you connect with customers, build relationships, and drive traffic to your website. Implementing a social media marketing strategy is a great way to improve your visibility and reach new customers.

Five Steps To Five Star Reviews

What do your customers say about your company online? And how much do online reviews and star ratings affect public perception of your service?
If you're a business owner seeking more dine in customers, then you need to know how online reviews and star ratings affect public perception of your service.

In 2015, 92 percent of consumers read online reviews before making purchase decisions (up from 88 percent in 2014). 70 percent of consumers avoid buying a product if they don’t like the company behind it. 64 percent of respondents trust a brand more if it encourages them to review its products and services.

As a business owner, one of the most important things you can do is develop an online review generation and monitoring program. Here are five steps to get started:

1) Claim your business listings on review sites such as

- Google+

- TripAdvisor

- Yelp

- Angie's List and many more.

2) Enforce a formal review process with clear guidelines, such as:

• Require customers to provide their full name and contact information when submitting reviews. This adds credibility to the review since customers must be willing to offer their contact information (helping you identify reviewers who may not be real customers).

• Require customers to have purchased your product or service before submitting a review. This ensures that they are actually qualified to leave an honest opinion about the quality of your company.

• Encourage positive reviews over negative ones by offering incentives, such as discounts on future purchases.

3) Communicate your policy to customers by including it in your website's Terms of Service or even into one of your product manuals. You can also email customers a copy after they buy your product, asking them to leave an honest review if they are willing.

4) Track reviews both manually and automatically using search engine optimization (SEO) tools such as Moz Local and Yext. For example, Moz Local can help you monitor any changes to your business listings on various websites, including information such as the title and description of each listing.

5) Respond to reviews both manually and automatically by looking for positive customer experiences to highlight and negative ones to resolve. If a review is false or unfair, work with your customers to reach out to the reviewer and ask them to update or delete their review.

Star ratings are important too, especially because they are visible to everyone on your Google+ Local page.

If you notice a negative trend in your average star rating, reach out to the reviewer and ask them why they gave you fewer stars. You may be able to resolve the issue by offering an incentive or discount. If you’re not able to fix it, ask them if they’d be willing to update their review.

It's also important to keep in mind that Google weighs reviews differently on Google+ Local than it does on sites like Yelp. Google organizes reviews by "freshness," meaning they give priority to recent reviews (ones written within the last year) over older ones.

This helps make sure you get accurate information about all your customers' experiences.

Granted, you can't please everyone all the time, and some negative reviews are simply bad luck. But if you focus on customer satisfaction and providing a great product or service, your online reviews will definitely increase over time.
