We are excited to announce that "Resistance - They Fought Back" will be premiering on PBS on Holocaust Remembrance Day, January 27th, at 10pm ET. Co-directed by Kirk Wolfinger and Paula Apsell, the film is a collaboration between Lone Wolf Media and Leading Edge Productions.
Told by survivors, their children, and expert witnesses from the U.S., Israel, and Europe, "Resistance - They Fought Back" is a revelation based on new and extensive research of how the Jews of Europe fought back against the N***s. It uncovers evidence of both armed and non-violent methods that served as crucial tools of resistance and evolved into Jewish revolts in ghettos, forests and death camps, even as the odds of success were impossibly small. Today, almost 80 years after the Holocaust, this story remains largely unknown with many believing that “Jews went to their deaths like sheep to the slaughter.” They did not: they fought back.
The film features the voices of Corey Stoll, Maggie Siff, Dianna Argon, Romy Rosemont, Julie Benko, David Rosenberg, Lisa Loeb, Joel De La Fuente, Andrew Kishino, and Mark Zeisler.
