The moment my daughter Josie came into this world, everything shifted. šŸ’— I found myself holding not just her, but a deeper purpose.

While in recovery, I was reading We Can Do Hard Things by and Amanda Doyle and this line hit like lightning:
ā€œSocial media started off fun, but now… it feeds on our sense of unworthiness. It’s destroying women and girls.ā€

With Josie in my arms, those words echoed louder than ever. I created this page to be the opposite of that. A space of strength, softness, truth, and sisterhood. šŸ¤Ž Before her, it was for us. Now, it’s also for her. For my nieces. For every girl growing up needing a world that embraces their power—not destroying them. šŸŒšŸ’«

Although Josie stayed breech and I delivered via c-section, the THRIVE framework I teach in my Positive Childbirth Course became my own anchor — guiding my own Thoughts, Habits, Relationships, Instincts, Values, and Environments.

šŸ•Šļø So today, in honor of Josie’s arrival and this deeper calling, I’m offering something special:
The first 10 people to message me will receive FREE access to my Positive Childbirth Course. šŸŽ Feel free to share with your friends!

Because we can do hard things — and we don’t have to do them alone. 🫶

Let this be a safe space. A soft landing. A beginning.

I trained for the birth like I’ve trained for a marathon. I knew the breathwork. I knew how to ground, how to listen, how to move through it all. I was excited to experience the beauty and power of birth one last time.

But at 39 weeks, this little one remains breech and now we’re scheduled for a C-section.

And I’ll be honest: I was disappointed and I caught myself in a thought spiral.

My brain kept offering me this thought: I feel like I had trained for a marathon only to have it canceled a week before.

But then I paused—I went back to the THRIVE framework.

And I asked myself: ā€œIs this thought true? Is it helpful?ā€

And here’s the truth:
šŸ™…ā€ā™€ļøThis isn’t a marathon that got canceled.
šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøThis is more like prepping to hike Havasupai Falls…and learning I’ll be taking a helicopter to the waterfalls instead of hiking.

Different? Yes.
But I’ll still arrive to the same euphoric view.
I’ll still feel the joy.
I’ll still get to hold my baby. šŸ¤Ž

Because the **destination—meeting your child—**was never about how you got there. It was about getting there whole.

And that’s what I want for every mother:
To feel powerful, supported, and at peace with whatever path your body and baby co-create.

This is exactly what we explore in my Positive Childbirth Course— Not one ā€œrightā€ birth, but your most peaceful one.

Birth doesn’t have to go ā€œas plannedā€ to be profoundly powerful.

It can still be sacred. Still beautiful. Still YOU. šŸ¤Ž

The course is rooted in positive psychology, mindfulness, and the THRIVE framework. If you’re expecting or supporting someone who is, I’d love to share it with you.

Eight years ago, I got to join my sister at the hospital as she brought her baby girl into the world—and in that quiet, raw, and sacred space, something changed in me forever.

It was my first intimate glimpse into the strength, the struggle, and the softness of labor—not from the lens of the one giving birth, but from the heart of the one watching someone she loves labor through it.

I hadn’t yet given birth myself, but witnessing my sister’s strength—her days-long journey to meet her baby—sparked a new, deepest respect I gained for women and moms that I carry to this day. The strength, the power, the will she had…and the love of my sister and brother in laws own mothers as they waited to meet their grand baby.

Though I later experienced births of my own, that moment in the hospital remains one of the most formative for me. It showed me what mothers endure. What we survive. What we give. And how damn tough my sister is.

To all the women who labor, in whatever form it takes—thank you.

This photo is where my awe of life and labor began.

Reading ā€˜s book STEM Moms made me feel seen as a woman in science and technology — and reminded me that being a mom comes with powerful, transferable skills.

Which makes me beyond excited to share that I’m joining her next book as a co-author, alongside several other incredible women!

I’ll be sharing the THRIVE framework — the same one I created for the Positive Childbirth Course — designed to help you optimize your:
Thoughts, Habits, Relationships, Instincts, Values, and Environment so you can thrive through work.

Even sweeter?
This baby in my belly has been with me every step of the way — through the creation of the course, this chapter, and the support helping others (and myself) along the way.

In just one month, I’ll be rocking a newborn in this very room where it all came to life.

Do you have a blog, platform, or podcast that would love to highlight the goodness Cassie is bringing with the launch of Beyond the Pipeline? I’d love to connect!

Reaching out to this incredible network of moms and experts for advice or experiences with breech babies. šŸ¤ŽWhat worked for you?
šŸ™…ā€ā™€ļøWhat didn’t work for you?
šŸ’«Any tips or tricks that helped your little one flip head down?

If we’re in the same position in two weeks we’ll discuss next steps which could include External Cephalic Version (ECV), C-Section, and other options and I’d love to hear about your experiences!

P.S. excuse me while you see me doing cartwheels and introducing baby to Missy singing ā€œput my thang down flip it and reverse itā€ šŸ¤øā€ā™€ļø

I originally made these affirmation cards for a Positive Childbirth Course participant as she prepared for labor. Now, as I prepare for my own third birth, I’m reminded just how powerful these tools are—not only for labor but for life as well.

I named this group Life & Labor because the same techniques that guide you through birth can guide you through life’s challenges and joys:

šŸ¤Ž Affirmations to anchor you in strength
šŸ¤Ž Visualizations to help you see what’s possible
šŸ¤Ž The power of your thoughts to shape your experience
šŸ¤Ž Understanding your body’s reactions to calm your mind
šŸ¤Ž Knowing you are always in control

For example, the affirmation ā€œEach contraction brings me closer to meeting my babyā€ can be adapted to remind us that each challenge brings us closer to growth and strength.

Which affirmation speaks to you most right now—in birth or in life? What’s your favorite I have missing here? Share below! šŸ¤Ž
