Born in 1989 into the iconic Birla lineage, Aditya grew up surrounded by the values of discipline, integrity, and resilience that defined his grandfather, R.S. Birla, co-founder of the Cosmic Birla Group. His academic journey from Don Bosco, Kolkata, to an MBA at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd instilled not just business knowledge, but a people-centric philosophy of leadership.

Joining the family business at 22, Aditya weathered one of the toughest steel-market downturns between 2012 and 2017—an experience that shaped his strategic and financial foresight. By age 27, he had diversified into production, finance, and capital markets, preparing him for the top leadership role.

Since becoming Chairman & MD in 2019, he has carried forward his family’s legacy while charting bold new paths of growth, innovation, and ethical leadership—cementing his place as one of the most influential business leaders of his generation.
