I finished The Watcher’s Codex.

After months of writing, revising, designing, and playtesting, the deck is done.

This is a physical chaos deck for Sims 4 players whose saves have gotten too predictable.

Draw a card. Roll the D8. Obey the decree. Whatever happens is canon.

The finished kit will include 74 Codex Decree cards, reversed twists, a translucent plumbob green D8 die, a black velvet bag, and a companion guide with gameplay notes, substitution rules, and cheat codes.

I’ve been playtesting it, and it made me care about a Sim family I didn’t care about in a game I’d grown bored with. That’s when I knew it worked.

The next step is ordering the first physical prototype so I can check the quality, hold the real thing in my hands, and film an unboxing before I open orders.

This has been one of the biggest things I’ve made for The Sims, and I’m really proud of it.

The deck is finished.

Now I need to meet it in the real world.

I finished The Watcher’s Codex.

This is a Sims 4 project I’ve been working on for months: a physical chaos deck for players whose saves have gotten too predictable.

The idea is simple:

Draw a card.
Roll the D8 if the decree calls for it.
Obey the decree.
Whatever happens is canon.

The deck includes 74 Codex Decree cards, reversed twists, a D8 die, a black velvet bag, and a companion guide with gameplay notes, substitution rules, and cheat codes.

It’s designed to shake up stale saves without mods — using traits, clubs, lot challenges, money disasters, romance complications, family secrets, soft chaos, rotational play, and whatever nonsense the game decides to add on top.

I’ve been playtesting it, and honestly? It works.

One test family ended up with an evil twin, a kleptomaniac museum-theft club, a broke household on the run from the mob, a teen dropout named P-dizzle, a dating competition, a cult compound, and several storylines I never would have planned myself.

That’s the magic of it. The Codex doesn’t just give you prompts. It creates situations you have to live with.

The next step is ordering the first physical prototype so I can check the print quality, inspect the guidebook, make sure the full kit feels right, and film an unboxing before I open orders.

Because this will be a small-batch physical product, I can’t mass-produce it upfront. I’m taking it one careful step at a time.
