🌿 Love Where You Live

Nora Saintz started Gardenette to help homeowners design their dream yards—and then show them how to make it happen themselves. Whether you want a cozy garden retreat or a family-friendly backyard, she creates a personalized roadmap so you can install it at your own pace without breaking the bank.

It all began when a friend stood in her bare backyard, totally overwhelmed. “She’d gotten quotes from landscaping companies that made her jaw drop—not in a good way. She said, ‘I’d love to do some of this myself, but I have no idea where to start or what would even look good together.’ That’s when it hit me—tons of people want beautiful outdoor spaces and are willing to get their hands dirty, they just need someone to show them the way.”

What sets Gardenette apart?

“I design like you're actually the one holding the shovel. While other designers create pretty pictures that require a crew of professionals, I think about what you can find at your local garden center on a Saturday morning. I plan projects you can tackle in phases—maybe start with the patio area this spring, add the flower beds in fall. Real life, real budgets, real weekends.”

Favorite part of the job?

“Nothing beats getting a photo from a client standing in their finished garden with dirt under their fingernails and the biggest smile on their face. They’ll text me things like ‘I can't believe I actually did this!’ or ‘My kids helped me plant everything and now they check on "their" flowers every day.’ I'm not just designing landscapes—I’m helping families create spaces where memories happen.”

She especially loves yard walk-throughs. “I come to your place, we stroll every inch, and you fire away with questions like, ‘Will this tree get too big?’ ‘Why does nothing grow here?’ or ‘Can I really put a veggie garden there?’ I love seeing faces light up when that weird slope turns from problem to opportunity. We’ll sketch on the back of an envelope and suddenly your whole vision clicks.”

Some weddings are filled with flowers, some with fanfare, but Rhiannon and Dan’s was filled with heart. Tucked away in Allegany State Park, their wedding day was quiet, meaningful, and handcrafted from start to finish. Every detail from a $20 veil turned heirloom to a taco dinner cooked by the groom told a story of connection, intention, and love.

The veil? Embroidered with symbols for each loved one in their life. The flowers? Crocheted by a family member. The ceremony? Officiated by Dan’s mom. Even their mismatched thrifted décor had soul. For photographer Brandon McClinsey, capturing the day meant leaning into what mattered most: people, presence, and love stitched into every corner.

When a wedding reflects not trends but truth, it lingers in the memory a little longer.

🐾 Love Without Limits

Bruno's Blessings is a nonprofit created with one goal: to raise money for families who need help paying for senior-care veterinary bills. We all know how expensive it can get as dogs grow older—especially when extra testing, scans, or treatments are needed. Bruno’s Blessings helps reduce that burden so families don’t have to choose between cost and care.

💛 Why It Started

Founder Agathi Georgiou-Graham was inspired by the journey she went on with her dog, Bruno.

“I spent thousands of dollars on tests, scans, and treatments—and while I’d do it again in a heartbeat, I couldn’t stop thinking: how do other people afford this?”

That question stayed with her. Not every family has the means to explore every option, and no one should have to make heartbreaking decisions simply because of cost.

🐶 What Makes It Different

Bruno’s Blessings is dedicated exclusively to helping senior dogs.

“I have a soft spot for older pups and for the people who just want a little more time with them.”

This nonprofit is all about giving families the chance to extend those final chapters. Every senior dog deserves comfort, care, and love for as long as possible.

“My favorite part of what I do is seeing the incredible success stories that come from the Bruno’s Blessings grants. Knowing these funds are helping save lives means everything to me. Helping animals is a deep passion of mine, and I’m truly grateful to have this platform to spread awareness and make a difference—one senior dog at a time.”

🎉 Giving Back in Action

Agathi donates her venue each year to Rochester Hope for Pets and Bruno’s Blessings, hosting an annual fundraiser to raise awareness and support for both causes.
