Mötley Crüe, more than just a band synonymous with 80s glam metal excess, was a carefully constructed project with a clear vision. While their wild antics, outrageous stage presence, and hard-partying reputation are well-documented, the band's formation was a deliberate effort by Nikki Sixx to create the ultimate theatrical rock experience. He envisioned a band that combined the raw energy of punk with the spectacle of glam rock, and he meticulously recruited musicians who fit that mold.
