A special thanks to the breeders who renewed or joined for 2025 to support our efforts and advertise their amazing catteries! You are the reason I can keep doing this! Issue #20 marks our FIFTH publishing anniversary! Thank you also to Peri Hughes for helping me with the cover photos and title placements and to Jacq Luttrelle for five years of doing the past design covers and page art and creating the breeder ads when a new one is needed.

Reminder: Publishing will be twice a year moving forward, with more emphasis on the website, blogs, and breeder support.

Spring Flashback to our past issues! Spring 2020, the issue that started it all! We've come a long way in FIVE years!
With that, I have made the tough but hopefully best decision to publish twice a year, in June and December. This is due to many factors.
1. More folks visit and read the website blogged article content than the actual publications. The stats are impressive in comparison.
2. Over the years, sponsor/breeder advertising and directory support have decreased (overall kitten sales are down, according to most breeders' feedback).
3. As the sole owner & writer, it is challenging to invest the time and energy required to produce the magazine and create creative content.
4. Difficulty meeting deadlines (late content receipts despite adequate notice).
Why twice yearly will be beneficial...
1. Larger, more robust publications twice a year vs. four times a year
2. Better sales of hardcopies (yes, the entire 2024 year is available for purchase and will be moving forward, as well as past issues soon).
3. Less publication stress/management by giving contributors more extended deadlines (to improve upon #4 above and give more people an opportunity to contribute content).
3. Larger directory spaces for breeders and advertisers who continue supporting the magazine (all breeder logos will now be 1/4 page for better visibility and spread throughout the magazine vs. as a directory "section."
