Volunteers from all around Taiwan are making their way to Guangfu with all the tools they have to help up clean up the mess left behind by the flash flood earlier this week.

I fell for it too. I was an “empowered woman” who immediately put her child in daycare at 6wks. I was a single mom & thought I had no choice, but every day it broke my heart to leave her.

Nine months later I was fired from that corporate advertising job, found a full time job as a nanny & got to bring my kiddo to “work” with me.

This was to date one of my favorite jobs ever! I got paid great money to take the kids to the park, the movies, amusement parks, music/exercise classes, nature walks, community pools, lay in hammocks, read books, nap & cook healthy food for us all to eat.

I also convinced them to fire their lazy cleaning woman so I could clean for them. They gave me hand me down clothes for my daughter & made us a part of their family. I still talk to their parents to this day.

The best part? I got to raise my own kiddo & be with her everyday. When I met Eric & we got married, he made sure I knew from the beginning I didn’t have to work (outside the home) if I didn’t want to.

He knew instinctively that a mama wants to be there at all times for their child & if he supports that he gets a happier, healthier wife & happier child to “step up” for. I have worked for myself for the last 20yrs & even to this day if my kiddo needs me all she has to do is holler.

Anyone else wake up or are now waking up from the feminist fog?
