Spent a beautiful time last weekend in Staunton VA and attended 3 plays in repertory at the amazing American Shakespeare Center:

King Lear, Little Women, and The Comedy of Errors, all masterfully rendered by 9 actors.

Powerful, lyrical, musical, poignant, hysterical!

What a joy to behold.

I have copies of King Lear: The 30-Minute Shakespeare and The Comedy of Errors: The 30-Minute Shakespeare for sale at Words Matter Gift Shop, a true gem of an establishment with a compelling and well-curated collection of fascinating books and more.

I could not stop returning to Zynodoa Restaurant. Wow. Such great food; and the service and vibe in this unique and lovely town keeps calling me back.

I’m returning mid June with friends and family for Red Wing Roots Music Festival, where we will juggle music and theater.

If music be the food of love: play on!

The students asked great questions and showed a beautiful spirit.

What an honor and joy to work with Taffety Punk on The 30-Minute Shakespeare Series’ first audiobook!
Working with the brilliant Steve Steckler at Asparagus Media Studios, these actors captured the horror and pathos of The Scottish Play, and brought chills to my spine.
It’s such a privilege to hear actors bring their fiery passions and deep understanding of Shakespeare’s texts to life.
I will be working with Book Buddy Media for the post production and we will let you know when the dramatic audiobook drops!

Macbeth:The 30-Minute Shakespeare at the wonderful Asparagus Media studios with engineer Steve Steckler.

Greetings, Let's Make a Scene regulars!

Happy New Year!

We are expecting Big Snow here in Maryland and due to that and a few other factors, we are postponing our next Let's Make a Scene until Wednesday January 22nd at 7:30 PM EST.

It will be the most excellent Twelfth Night.

Final day for The 30-Minute Shakespeare Series
at National Council of Teachers of English Convention in Boston.

What a production of Macbeth at Shakespeare Theatre Company!

Starring Ralph Fiennes as Macbeth, (notice how I just keep saying the “M” word -scary!) this powerhouse production was set in a warehouse-like building in Northeast DC.

Visceral and intense, it never let up on the tragic momentum. The run is sold out, and the audience was rapt.

Standing ovation!
