🦸♂️ The new Superman movie drops TODAY—and I’m more emotionally conflicted than Clark Kent writing a hit piece about himself.
The reviews? Mixed. Some say it’s fantastic, others say it’s a super flop. BUT—I heard from a very reliable source (someone who saw it and didn’t nap or text the whole time who is also the coolest Uber driver I ever met and clearly knows his superhero s**t like me) that it was actually great. So there’s hope… a small, glowing, cape-colored glimmer.
Now look—I really like Nicholas Hoult. Dude can act. Might even give us a Lex Luthor worth losing hair over (which I obviously approve of his hairstyle).
But Rachel Brosnahan? I’m sorry, but every time she’s on screen, she looks like she’s smelling a fart and blaming it on everyone else. Not exactly the Lois Lane energy I was hoping for 😅
Also, I love the previous Supermen—Reeve, Cavill, even Routh in his brief moment. So this reboot has some big red boots to fill.
Am I going to see it? Yes…eventually
Am I going in with cautious optimism and a backup plan to sneak into another movie if it stinks? Also yes. 🍿
