KILLER RED MATER IS BACK

Missed it the first time? We're bringing back one of the originals from the Scotty Cannon Heritage Series 1.

The 1994 Killer Red Mater celebrates Cannon's return to the famous 1941 Willys for a season that produced six final-round appearances, two victories and his fourth consecutive championship.

Cannon would eventually become a six-time champion, but 1994 remains one of those unmistakable seasons when the red Willys and Scotty Cannon became synonymous with doorslammer drag racing.

NHRA's television landscape is getting a major overhaul in 2027. FOX Sports stays, The CW gets the U.S. Nationals and the entire Countdown to the Championship, and FloRacing becomes the live streaming home for every round of qualifying and eliminations.

NHRA says the new three-part media package will put the Mission Foods Drag Racing Series within reach of more than 125 million households.
