Now that Halloween is over, "Give a Gobbler" is front and center!
Colassal Radio is promoting their 6th year of helping our veterans during the holiday season.
Last year, Lehighton Borough Police Department collected over 5000 non-perishables, 24 frozen turkeys and $3725 in monetary donations! Our efforts helped feed 500 families!
Lehighton Borough Police are hoping to surpass last year's totals in giving to this noble cause and supporting even more veteran families this year. We have again partnered with local businesses and locations to help gather non-perishable food items, to feed our veterans.
To help support this cause, you can drop off your items at our station or the following local locations:
Lehighton Borough Hall, Lehighton Area Memorial Library, Nonnas Ice Cream on RT443 and American Legion Post 314.
All monetary donations can be sent to the Lehighton Borough Police Department. Checks should be made out to the borough with a comment on the check "Give a Gobbler". The borough will submit one check to the VALOR Clinic Foundation for the total amount collected. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE!!!!!
All the items gathered will be donated to support The Valor Clinic Foundation.
Veterans Day is fast approaching; this is your opportunity to support the men and women who have fought for the freedom we all enjoy.
