A new era of college athletics is officially here after a federal judge approved a multibillion-dollar legal settlement that will allow schools to begin paying their athletes directly for the first time.

"The House v. NCAA settlement ends three separate federal antitrust lawsuits, all of which claimed the NCAA was illegally limiting the earning power of college athletes ... Moving forward, each school can pay its athletes up to a certain limit. The annual cap is expected to start at roughly $20.5 million per school in 2025-26 and increase every year during the decade-long deal. These new payments are in addition to scholarships and other benefits the athletes already receive."

Schools are now free to begin paying their athletes directly, marking the dawn of a new era in college sports brought about by a multibillion-dollar legal settlement that was formally approved Friday.

ICYMI: Southside Christian's Carson Bolemon was named South Carolina's 2025 baseball Gatorade Player of the Year on Tuesday.

The rising senior just led the Sabres to their fourth straight state title, throwing a 19-strikeout no-hitter in the championship-clinching game. Bolemon struck out 135 batters in 55.1 innings this season, while allowing zero earned runs. According to Prep Baseball, he's the No. 6 national recruit in the 2026 Class.

Thought this was so cool from Kentucky's Nick Mingione over the weekend, praising the job Upstate head coach Kane Sweeney did leading the Spartans in his first season as head baseball coach.

Despite replacing 27 players from last year's team, the Spartans won the Big South for the first time and reached their first NCAA Tournament.

"This is what his stat sheet looks like ... that's what he had to replace. That guy, for what he did ... I have so much respect for him."

The ACC revealed conference opponents for the 2025-26 men's basketball season today.

The Tigers will travel to UNC and Duke in their only regular season matchups with the Tar Heels and Blue Devils, but will host NC State and Clemson alum Will Wade at Littlejohn Coliseum in his first season leading the Wolf Pack.

The Tigers won't play Virginia, but will face Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh twice (once home, once away).

The Clemson Tigers baseball tean will host an NCAA Regional at Doug Kingsmore Stadium this weekend for the third year in a row, after earning a top 16 natuonal seed in the tournament.

The Tigers will find out their seed and their regional opponents tomorrow during the NCAA Selection Show at noon. Coastal Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina will also host this year among the 16 national seeds.
