I see a SoBo library!

RIP RAP REMOVAL started today on the east slope of Federal Hill Park as part of the city’s renovation of the hill, which partially collapsed in 2018. The project includes slope stabilization, storm drain work, and pavement, concrete, and sidewalk repairs. Work began in late July removing the sidewalk between Warren and E. Hamburg streets and improving drainage at the ends of these two streets. (The sidewalk up the hill from Grindall Street is currently closed at Hamburg.)

According to Baltimore Recnparks, the construction project could stretch to the end of the year, depending on weather.

LAST NIGHT IN THE PARK ... A madcap mashup of Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors" and just-about-every-campy Balmer reference there is (with cameos by Edgar Allan Poe, Mayor Donald Schaefer, and Earl Weaver). Twas the last night of the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company's summer-long "Shakespeare Beyond" roving performances in city parks.
