When you buy a project boat and she sits for a year while you save pennies to get her going again. Come back to storage to finally get the work done to find this:
EDIT: I feel the need to clarify I knew the supports were going out when I purchased. When I got back to it to start work, after saving they disintegraded, I thought they'd hold on more than they did. Also, the work is done and it is fixed now

Almost a real bad fail but luck was with us and made it home. Locking hitch receiver pin and the lock disappeared. Either I didn’t lock it right ( likely) or it failed and fell off. Visually checked the hookup as always before we left the ramp headed home. 45 miles at highway speed. Hands on checking from now on!
