We're bringing golden-age Hollywood to life this fall, and we want you to be part of it!
Set in the 1920s as silent films give way to “talkies,” "Singin’ in the Rain" is packed with big laughs, unforgettable songs, and show-stopping dance numbers including that famous rainy-day scene! Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to the stage, this is your chance to shine.

Hello Erie! It’s the end of June, and we want you to know that there’s no trouble in the Flagship City.

The curtain will rise on the new season of Broadway In Erie in January and your shows will be announced on September 8th! Beginning September 2nd, we will be sharing clues about the shows. Season ticket renewals are scheduled to begin September 9th and new season ticket sales are scheduled to begin September 15th.

We are happy to reveal that next season will consist of 5 season shows, and 3 specials that season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase before public on sale.

Tickets to 2 of these additional shows, Cirque Dreams Holidaze (November 25) and Mannheim Steamroller Christmas (December 2) go on sale during “Christmas In July”. Current season ticket holders and fans of Broadway In Erie will receive their presale notices in the coming weeks.

We are sincerely grateful for your patience. This is Step One in an exciting new season of Broadway!

No new episode this week, as we are mourning the loss of Brenna Thummler.

She’s not dead, she’s just in Vermont for grad school.

Ryan is super busy with Rock of Ages rehearsals at the Academy Theatre, so there may be a slight hiatus.

Okay guys, listen up.

Spotlight 814 was created to celebrate the incredible work happening across ALL of our local stages. To spotlight the performers, the crews, the musicians, the directors, the volunteers, and the audiences who make this community what it is.

I know things can suck sometimes. That’s life. But the personal vendettas, behind-the-scenes tension, and a lot of unnecessary noise are starting to drown out what really matters: the work. The art. The love we all have for theatre.

You don’t have to like everyone. You don’t have to agree with every casting decision or show selection. But when the drama offstage starts driving people away from the stage? That’s a problem. And it’s one we can actually fix.

Because here’s what’s also true: we’ve seen the best of this community, too. We’ve seen actors step in last-minute to save a show. We’ve seen companies share props, tech crews, and even venues when another burns to the ground (literally). We’ve seen real friendships form in the wings and lifelong confidence born under the lights.

So let’s focus on that. Let’s try to rebuild some bridges. Let’s get back to the joy. Isn’t that the reason we all showed up in the first place?

Community theatre is worth protecting. And it’s a lot more fun when everyone feels like they belong. What’s the point of community theatre if there’s no community?
