Shoutout to VPHS Track & Field, where the Knights sit at the #2 spot in the Coliseum League. With relentless determination, unmatched talent, and true school pride on and off the track, the hard work has paid off in a big way by qualifying for the CIF City Section Championships under Head Coach TiAra Snead and Assistant Coach Noella Kiwutila.

Faith O’Malley is leading the charge, currently ranked #1 in the league in the 400m and second in the 200m. Sophomore Bella Scorza also dominates in the field, holding the #1 ranking in shot put for the Girls' JV.

Our powerful 4x100m relay team, including DaiJanique Christopher, DeJani Jackson, Faith O’Malley, and Jiselle Zambia, will represent the Knights at CIF, where Christopher has also qualified in the 200m, and O’Malley will compete in both the 400m and 200m events. Look for both of them along with Mahoganee Ellis and Taliyah Hairston in the 400m event!

GO KNIGHTS!

When author Marley Dias was in grade school, she spearheaded a movement called to donate 1000 books that prominently feature African American females. Now more than 15,000 books later (including some of her own!), Marley took a break from studies at to visit ICEF View Park Elementary and Middle School, where after a student vote, the school's library was named in her honor. Well deserved!
