My friend recently downloaded Hinge for the first time. She's always talking about how she wants a boyfriend and hates being single.

Now, a week in, she’s already frustrated—complaining that all the guys are “ugly” or “too short” and that she never matches with anyone hot.

Out of curiosity, I asked to see who she does match with. Honestly, they all seemed pretty average and perfectly in her league. I told her that these guys were all in her league and she should give some of them a chance since she always complains about wanting to be in a relationship.

But she insists she’s way more attractive than the guys who like her. I pointed out that she never matches with the guys she finds attractive… which kind of proves my point, right? Is it harsh to say she might be overestimating where she stands?
