From producing acclaimed concerts and radio programming to leading WDNA 88.9 FM in Miami, his work has helped strengthen the visibility of Brazilian music throughout South Florida.

As a longtime advocate for cultural exchange, Gene proudly supports CCBU's mission of celebrating Brazil's artistic legacy and expanding access to Portuguese language and Brazilian culture through education, community engagement, and the arts.

FWC26Miami presents Gafieira Rio Miami on June 13 and 24th!!!

Excited to announce that Gafieira Rio Miami will be performing at FIFA Fan Festival Miami as part of the celebrations surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026!! The band is preparing a very high energy set full of Brazilian favorites and also a brand new song made especially for this epic event. Fans from around the world will come together at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami for an unforgettable celebration of football, music, culture, and community.
You can experience Gafieira Rio Miami on June 13th (2pm & 5pm) and also on June 24th (5pm & 8pm). FREE admission. See you there!
