Okay, I avoided this for a long time because I bounced of WOUNDS (yes, I know, I'm in the minority), but I thought this was an incredible collection. Loved the way each story could stand on its own without the supernatural elements. Highly recommended.

I was never a big Lovecraft fan, but I remember these covers so well from local bookstores. Still some of my favorite cosmic horror art. Really captures the dreamy, absurd menace.

Many years later, I've finally put Michael Whelan's name to the work! Any other fav pieces?
