It is with deep sadness that we share that Justin Holt, occasional AaA co-host, died Sunday, Feb. 23rd, after a brief and unexpected illness. He was just short of his 36th birthday. Justin not only co-hosted episodes of the show--most often with Becky, Dan, or Josh--but he was a regular attendee of AaA post-shows, and a member of the extended atheist community here in Tacoma. He was eager, dependable, curious, loyal, and always on the path of intellectual and social betterment by his own volition. The world is richer for his having walked through it, and we are the poorer now for his absence.

The religious apologist bile is rising in my throat again. I almost dipped my toe in the stupid today. It's a sign that maybe I should get back behind the mic, but it's also a sign that maybe I should get back to ghosting Facebook again.

Or maybe I'm just a little bit stressed out.

Because you don't go to a plumber for a biopsy, and you don't go to a doctor to replace your water heater. Making some rando group of atheists answer to your "most atheists say this!" comes from majoritarian bad faith and should be ignored.

Some atheists are wrong. That doesn't make you right.

Today was MRI day, where I get to sit in a plastic tube, with space helmet, and listen to Baby's First Dubstep Remix, sans drugs. Then my YouTube-to-keep-the-tinnitus-away playlist algorithmed it's way to "depressingly precious british kids doing what Sam used to do on the radio."

I need a cane, a colonoscopy, and a complaint about 75 phone to have a BINGO for whatever f**k off old person bingo game I'm playing.

I need to get back on the air something serious.
