This leaf gently lays across a bed of Virginia Buttonw**d. VB nourishes bees and many other insects. The leaf with its imperfection strikes a perfect pose against the display of greenery. Venture into your garden or if you don’t have one create pots of greenery. Serotonin is released from neurotransmitters quieting down any anxiety and permits us to feel safe and at peace. Gardens make beautiful temples even the ones in pots or stand alone.

Capture your day-to-day life and see the beauty in its composition. Structural stacks of sandbags may look ordinary but these bags have spared our home from ruin during Hurricane season. Not everything around the home but certainly these bags stopped water intrusion. I have had the joy of standing on top of these bags when working in my garden where I am one with nature and my soul is at peace.

This is an Ohio Spiderwort plant commonly found here in NE Florida. The leaves and flowers are edible. Don’t treat this as a w**d. Its mucilaginous leaves are medicinal and ease the discomfort from insect bites. This plant attracts bees, beetles, butterflies, flies, and skippers.
