A Winter Storm Watch is now in effect for portions of Central and South Mississippi and Northeast Louisiana. Confidence is increasing that snowfall accumulations on Tuesday will result in dangerous travel conditions, especially in these areas. Due to very cold conditions, travel impacts from snow accumulations will persist at least into Wednesday.

Farther north, light snow accumulation is still possible with potential for some roads to become slick.
