We met in college, two girls with the same Television Production major and a love for making short films. A year and a half later, we graduated from Murray State University, and decided we wanted to share that love of film with the world. Thus, The 8th Floor Productions was born.
We’re named for the 8th floor of Murray State’s Fine Arts Center, where we both earned our degree in Television Production, gained years of experience in all stages of video production, and made countless short films and cherished memories along the way.
We know the magic of a camera. We recognize its potential to tell stories, send a message, or to capture a moment forever. We know what goes into every stage of production, from pre-production and scripting, to filming, editing, and special effects in the final stages of post, in order to make something truly wonderful.
