Surrounding counties came together overnight to search for and rescue two kayakers who went missing last evening. We will have their story later today online, and in next week's paper. Thank you to everyone involved in making sure the two missing men were found. They were found approximately 6:30 am this morning.

We would like to invite all citizens of Macon and surrounding counties to join us on Thursday, July 17th @ 1:30 p.m. at the new administration building 201 Nature Trail Way as we participate in the Pray 4 TN event. Attention all Macon County YOUTH ages 3-18 during the 2024-2025 school year. It is almost FAIR TIME which means preparing many items to enter in the following categories: Arts & Crafts, Canning, Home Cookery, Egg Contest, Exhibits/Club Projects, Floral, Gardening, Needlework, Photography, Posters, Sewing, and Table Settings. All entries will be received this Saturday, July 26 from 10:00am - 12:00 pm in the Meador Building at the Macon County Fairgrounds. There will be prize money for top 3 in each lot. Be sure to enter through Learly Lane, past main gate on left. All categories and details are listed in the comments.
