Application Deadlines Approaching for City of Vacaville Merriment on Main Event Vendors and Performers

VACAVILLE, Calif. – The City of Vacaville reminds the community that deadlines are fast approaching to participate in this year’s Merriment on Main Tree Lighting held in Downtown Vacaville on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

Application Deadlines:
Vendors and Booths (food and giveaways): Monday, October 27, 2025.
Performers and Crowd Entertainers: Monday, November 10, 2025

Ways to Participate:
This year marks the debut of the Merry Market at Creekwalk Plaza, where food and merchandise sales are now welcome. Businesses interested in selling at the event must submit a vendor application and pay an applicable fee.

The City will continue the tradition of welcoming vendors who wish to provide free food and giveaways in the downtown corridor. Please complete the same vendor application.

Performers and crowd entertainers wow event attendees by showcasing engaging, unique, and remarkable talents. From holiday carolers and dance troupes to interactive entertainers, these participants bring the energy and spirit that make Merriment on Main one of Vacaville’s most beloved community celebrations.

Important Notes:
All applications must be completed in full and include required documentation.
Vendors distributing or selling any food or drink items must obtain a Solano County Environmental Health permit.
After submitting, participants will receive an email confirmation with the next steps.

Downtown Businesses:
Downtown businesses planning to be open during the event should complete the same vendor application, so booths do not block entrances and businesses are added to the vendor map.

Sponsorship Opportunities and More Information:
Visit CityofVacaville.gov/MerrimentOnMain or email the team.

Join the City of Vacaville for a wonderful winter holiday extravaganza the Tuesday after Thanksgiving for Merriment on Main.

CALLING FOR HELP. Thirty years ago, a group of dedicated parents, friends, family members, and community members organized the first Safe and Sober Grad Nite for graduating seniors at Vacaville High School. Now, the lack of volunteer help is threatening to bring an end to this event. We must not let this tradition die. Please reach out to the Board at [email protected] to help.

Vacaville Museum Guild to Host Fall Arts and Crafts Fair on Oct. 18
The Vacaville Museum Guild will host its annual Fall Arts and Crafts Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 in the Museum courtyard, 213 Buck Ave. Admission is free.

The event will include special handcrafted items, holiday arts and crafts, woodworking, stationary, decorated succulent pumpkins, Tony Wade books, Tupperware and more.

New this year is the “bling sale,” organized by Guild member Edyie Santomieri. It will feature hundreds of costume jewelry pieces, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings and pins, and such accessories as purses, hats and scarves. Some are vintage and much in demand. All will be priced to sell, Santomieri said.

Refreshments, including home-baked cookies, cakes, breads and snacks will be available for purchase. "Brunch in a Box" will be on site for folks to order lunch.

Popular items will include the succulent-decorated pumpkins, featuring a variety of succulents planted inside the pumpkins. The museum also will take pre-orders: large pumpkins are $40; medium, $30; small, $20; and mini, $5 to $10. For pre-orders contact Vacaville Museum Guild president Pat Zetah at [email protected] or text to (707) 290-3181.
In addition, the Museum Guild is sponsoring two succulent pumpkin decorating workshops, one on Wednesday, Oct. 22 and the second on Thursday, Nov. 6, in the courtyard. Both are from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

“Participants will learn techniques to assemble their own succulent pumpkins to display in their home or outdoors,” said Zetah. “These pumpkins will last six months or more.” The cost for the creative workshops is $40 for the general public and $35 for guild members. Refreshments will be included.

Participants must bring a pumpkin, a glue gun and glue sticks. Tickets are available at the Vacaville Museum or online at the Vacaville Museum Events website at
