Thursday, July 3rd
WUFT’s Fanfares & Fireworks 2025 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. | University of Florida Bandshell at Flavet Field (605 Woodlawn Drive, Gainesville, FL 32603).
WUFT presents a night of music and fireworks at the University of Florida. Music performances include Now Leaving Space, Sooza Brass Band, The Savants, Gainesville Community Band, and the Gainesville Pops. Bring a chair or spread out a blanket and enjoy food from multiple food trucks on site. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Friday, July 4th
City of Alachua Annual Fourth of July Celebration 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. | Legacy Park (15400 Peggy Road, Alachua, FL 32615). The annual celebration, dubbed the “Largest Small-Town Fireworks Display in America,” draws a festive crowd to Legacy Park Amphitheatre to celebrate the Fourth. Enjoy live music, a kids’ corner, food trucks, and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.
Red, White and Brew at Blackadder Brewing Company 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.| Blackadder Brewing Company (618 Northwest 60th Street Suite A, Gainesville, FL 32607). Enjoy $4 select beer and the signature ‘Murica “Cocktail.” Strega Nona’s Pizza will be on-site.
Jack Gamble Melon Run 8 a.m. -11 a.m. | Westside Park (1001 Northwest 34th Street, Gainesville, FL 32605). Cost: $25-$35. Annual event in its 46th year featuring a three-mile run hosted by the Florida Track Club. Age groupings for awards are in 10-year increments. Refreshments will be served to all runners after the race.
Town of Micanopy Independence Day Parade and Fireworks 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. | Micanopy Main Street (Northeast Cholokka Blvd, Micanopy, FL 32667).
The parade starts at 11 a.m. along Cholokka Blvd. The evening celebration includes music, food, a splash zone, and free bounce houses for kids beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Carson Robert Sports Complex. Fireworks launch at dusk.
4th of July Celebration 11 a.m. | Micanopy historic district (Parade start: Tuscawilla Road and Cholokka Boulevard).
Free entry; items and food for sale. Family event featuring traditional parade, music, food, and fireworks. Shops and eateries will be open. Ballpark fun from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Carson Roberts Sports Complex (702 Northwest 3rd Street). Fireworks at 8:45 p.m.
