In honor of Veterans Day 2024, join me on this special Sunday Flashback episode as we delve into the inspiring story of the Warriors Heart foundation. This unique and accredited residential treatment program is the first and only one in the U.S. exclusively for "warriors only" – active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and EMTs/paramedics. Warriors Heart offers transformative support to American Warriors battling addiction, PTSD, mild TBI, trauma, depression, and more.
My guest, Tom Spooner, a Former Special Forces/Delta Operator and Co-Founder of Warriors Heart, shares his incredible journey. With 21 years of service in the U.S. Army, including deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, Tom brings unparalleled experience and dedication to helping fellow warriors. Since retiring in 2011, he has focused on guiding warriors to acknowledge their struggles, seek treatment, and understand they are not alone.
In this episode, Tom opens up about his personal battles with chemical dependencies, PTSD, and mild TBI from combat injuries. We discuss critical topics like su***de prevention and the challenges warriors face when seeking help. Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, and Warriors Heart is here to provide the support needed.
If you or someone you know is a warrior in need of assistance, reach out to Warriors Heart at www.Warriors.com/gethelp or call 866-380-0023. You are not alone. Together, we can overcome any obstacle and build a brighter future.
We’re wishing all Veterans and active service men and women a wonderful and safe Veteran’s Day and thank you for your service.
