Hello to all! First and foremost, thank you for your continued prayers! Our road is still at the beginning of its journey for my parents and family, but our faith, accompanied by your love and generosity, helps bring us back to a spirit of peace and optimism. Psalm 94:19: "When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy."

During the past month, we have received the report from the Structural Engineer. Per their findings, a percentage of the "2nd floor framing, all of the burned wood lintels, 50% of the masonry parapets and 100% of the roof structure need to be rebuilt, and due to water infiltration throughout, the entire home must be gutted down to the bare structure."

Your funds of support have helped us to pay for the thorough boarding of the Hermitage property (with the exception of the roof), the engineer's report, the coach house electrical, and new apartment home furnishings.

May our God in heaven continue to be the strength for us all, and may we forever stand firm in his glory, come what may. Philippians 4:13: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power."

Hello! Your favorite editor here. Below are some answers to my most frequently asked questions:

I charge $14 per thousand words for novels and the like; $15 a page for dissertations, $100 for resumes; $50 for children's books under a thousand words; $10 a page for academic papers; $50 for query letters; $25 for articles. I offer 4 different payment plans.

When I edit, I do so in Word. I track my changes so you can see what I changed or if I have a comment. If you have a disagreement with a particular edit, I am available for discussion or general conversation. I offer free sample edits of 4 pages so you can see how I edit before you decide to hire me.

My turnaround time depends on the length of the manuscript. I edit as if I am in your demographic. For example, how would "I" as a reader like to see the book progress. I do a combination of line editing and developmental. The price also includes an extra pass after I have completed my first round of edits when you send it back to me for the second round, as well as the occasional brainstorming session and general book discussion.

I am also available for a free video chat. I answer emails and texts within a 24 hour turnaround time. I make sure that all of my authors feel comfortable with me!

My day job is a technical editor for an eLearning company, so I freelance at night. I edit literally everything and anything that comes across my desk, from blogs to dissertations. If you have an academic paper, those take precedence.

I have been a freelancer for the last 11 years since my oldest was born. Since 2004, I have been an editorial assistant, a proofreader, a journalist, a substitute teacher, contract editor for the Dept of Defense, and I have written reports for the State Superintendent of Education in DC.

I accept payment through PayPal or Venmo.

Payment one: First half up front as a deposit with the manuscript, second half upon completion.
Payment two: First half up front as a deposit with the manuscript, second half divided up into agreed upon monthly payments.
Payment three: Smaller, agreed upon deposit, then the second larger half divided by monthly payments.
Payment four: Chapter by chapter-where you send me a couple of chapters at a time and pay by that word count.
