Report on the Reception Service of Rev. J. M. Yorkinah

The TAACW Akporo Sogho Assembly today hosted the Reception Service of Rev. J. M. Yorkeha, a memorable occasion marked with joy, thanksgiving, and the presence of God’s people.

The service was honored by the attendance of anointed ministers from various branches of TAACW and sister churches, who came together to celebrate this significant moment. Also present was Minister Mummy Abigail, alongside other gospel music ministers whose powerful ministrations in songs of praise and worship added great beauty to the celebration.

Indeed, it was a blessed gathering, filled with unity, fellowship, and the manifestation of God’s grace.

The TAACW Akporo Sogho Assembly was alive with excitement as the 2025 Children’s Harvest Thanksgiving was celebrated in grand style on Sunday, August 3rd. Families gathered in unity and joy, offering praise, worship, and thanksgiving to God for the lives of the children.

The message was delivered by Rev. J. M. Yokiah, who preached on the theme “Sweet Sacrifice.” Drawing from Genesis 8:20–22 and 9:15, he spoke on the spiritual impact of sacrificial giving when done with a pure heart.

He outlined the benefits of a sweet sacrifice, including:

1. God removes curses

2. God will no longer smite the earth

3. God will bless the giver

4. God will remember His covenant

Referencing Genesis 9:6–16, Rev. Yokiah emphasized the lasting power of a genuine offering.

In conclusion, he stated:

> “Every sacrifice made must be from a pure heart to be acceptable before God.”

The day ended in colorful celebration, with the children presenting songs, dances, and thanksgiving offerings, reminding the congregation of God’s faithfulness across generations.
