This is a late post from February of this year and as we know, there are melanated people like the Williams sisters who already had part ownership in NFL teams like the Dolphins, but there’s yet to be an NFL solely owned by a melanated individual and it looks like these 2 are up for the gig!
Mr. Allen was approached with the ideas back in 2019 by Roger Goddell, NFL commissioner, and Robert Kraft, owner of the Patriots, and now Allen has teamed up with Mr. Smith and they are putting in their bid to buy the Denver Broncos. Allen is looking to effectuate change in the NFL due to its notorious stigma concerning racism against the very people who make the game possible! Keep your ear out for more on this story. We love to see our people continuing to elevate and use their resources to positively impact their community.

We are our Brother’s Keepers. Civic responsibility is an important ethic that our community must uphold. We have a history of building up our own communities because of lack of access and resources, but we always exceed the goal. We will continue to build our communities up even with the threat of distraction which we have faced repeatedly. Salute to this Mr. Powell’s resolve and persistence!
