I did it! 🎓Today marks the end of the semester and a major milestone in my journey to becoming a dual-certified nurse practitioner. 👩🏽⚕️ This year, I pushed myself to the limit, balancing two colleges, six classes, clinicals, being a wife and mom, working full-time, and running my businesses. It wasn’t easy, but I made it happen! I earned my Post-Masters Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and completed my first semester of the doctoral program at Valdosta State University, finishing both with a 4.0! 💪🏽🙌🏽✨
It’s been a CHALLENGING, but rewarding year to say the least. Honestly, I don’t feel the joy I thought I would right now because it’s been a lot. I’m still physically and mentally drained. Pushing myself comes easily, but learning to slow down is something I’m still working on.
As I reflect, I’ve realized that while reaching goals is important, it’s also important to slow down and enjoy life. When I’m always on go mode I miss out on moments that matter most.
Success isn’t just about checking off goals or adding another achievement to the list. It’s about being present for the experiences along the way and finding joy in the journey.
So, as I celebrate this accomplishment, I’m learning to move forward with more intention, balance, and gratitude. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, but I’m also ready for the next chapter…one where I find more balance.
I’ll always push myself because it’s just who I am, but I’m also learning to enjoy the life I’ve worked so hard to create. 💫
